That is a good looking lunch.

I’m a friend of teacher Jane’s. I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I went to school in Orono, Maine in the United States, and we never had kimchi for lunch at my school, unfortunately. If you’d like an example of what’s on a typical menu for a school in North America, you can take a look at my high school’s lunch schedule here: http://www.orono.u87.k12.me.us/pdf_files/menu.pdf

I’m very impressed with your English, and I look forward to reading the blog.

    Hello Students,

I am a friend of Teacher Jane from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I went to the same university as Jane. I am very jealous of the tasty food that you have for lunch. The food where I work is usually bland and boring. Your meals looks very nutritious, but still flavorful, interesting, and appealing.

My name is Flora, and I went to University with your teacher, Jane. I am from America. I like melon, and think that the school lunches in this picture look a lot better than the food at our cafeteria at my university. I want to try Kimchi.

Good job, kids! I’m an old friend of Jane’s who went to University with her, here in Canada. Your English is pretty good, so she must be teaching you quite well. This food looks tasty, too — I might go make some rice for supper …

    Hi!
I’m a friend of Jane’s from university. The rice that you wrote about seems like it would be really yummy. Well, actually, it all seems like it would be really yummy.

My favorite is kimchi. I miss the kimchi at Cho-Dang School.

I miss the small mandarin oranges.

I miss the curry soup, and the purple rice.

I like milk from Korea better than milk from USA.

Most of all, I miss my advanced class at Cho-Dang School.

    Love,
    Jennifer Teacher

    Hi everyone!

I am a hagwon teacher in Seoul, and Jane and I went to University together. I really like your descriptions of the food, it helps someone like me who is new to Korea know what the different foods are made with. Seeing the pictures make me hungry! I want some spicy and delicious kimchi. Very good work.

    Hi Everyone,

I met your teacher at the Gyeonggi-do English teachers Conference. I teach in Gunpo-Si.
Your lunch looks great, and your descriptions are excellent.
Today I had rice, kimchi, mushrooms, squid soup and pancakes for lunch. We also got a bottle of Yakult yogurt. Yummy.
I love the lunch at my school.

Say, “Hi.” to Jane Teacher for me!

    Hi everybody!

My name is Jessica and I am another friend of Teacher Jane. Right now I am working in Osaka, Japan. Kimchi is very popular! I like radish kimchi because it is very crunchy. I think Korean kimchi tastes much better than Japanese kimchi!

The egg and onion soup looks really healthy. The Chinese fried chicken is probably very oily and full of fat, but that’s what makes it yummy!

Good job! I can’t wait to hear about more Korean food!

I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and am very hungry now that I have looked at the pictures of your lunch. Do you have all those dishes every day? If so, you are very lucky!

I think that I would like the healthy rice best because I love sweet potatoes and mushrooms and, of course, rice. The kimchi looks delicious but it might be too spicy for me. Perhaps someday I can come to Korea and find out!

Hello Students, My name is Ruth and I am a friend of Jane’s from Calgary, Alberta in Canada. I have known her all her life. Teaching you in Korea is one of the most exciting things Jane has done. When she was in Calgary recently she told me about your food but I think your descriptions along with your lovely photographs gave me a much better idea of what she was trying to describe. She also told me about all her wonderful students and how much she enjoyed teaching you because you worked so hard to learn English and did so well. Congratulations. I can tell you a little secret about Jane – I hope she doesn’t mind – her favorite food is probably chocolate.
